KAWASAKI GPZ400R

A small job but this carb seal for the GPZ400R 1989 model was needed as the old one deteriorated over time. Finding the part was pretty straight forward by using the tools Webike provide. When I checked on Webike to see if they had the part, luckily they had so added to my order. With some other parts, all were delivered by EMS in 5 days. The boot is good quality as I expected anyway from Kawasaki and having had these kind of parts previous. Old ones are susceptible to damage but it's rare, they usually just deteriorate with age of lack of maintenance just like this one. The cost of this part was really good value. It came in it's own little packet and no damage in transit. The material is some kind of rubber but strengthened, not 100% sure with what but a new boot will do the job great. About quality and texture, I can confirm that the quality is great and that the material used is aluminum alloy with a permanent magnet on the base of the bolt. About the feeling of use, Would have to be one of the better value magnetic drain bolt that allows for securing with lockwire and successfully removes fine iron powder from the engine oil.Products to buy together, The drain bolt only comes with one sealing washer so it would be a good idea to add a few spare sealing washers to your cart for future oil changes.Difficulty of installation, I can say the fitment of the drain bolt for my installation was very easy due to the exhaust not limiting the access with the use of a socket and 3/8 drive ratchet.Cost performance and comparison with other products, The pricing of this product is great. You receive a drain bolt with a strong magnet and the head of the bolt has the functions to attach locking wire. The pricing of other drain bolts with similar features like the one from Takegawa is double the price and I don't see the reason for it.About shipping and packaging, My order was shipped within 48 hours of me placing the order and I received a few emails advising me of the status up until the order was dispatched. I find the link supplied to track my order very useful and the order arrived within the estimated date range. Extremely well packaged and the Webike staff even added one of their stickers to the order which I'll be adding to my helmet. The oil on this bike was due for a change and therefore, we also needed to source a new sump plug and also the washer that goes with it. It is always better to be safe than sorry so you don't have any leaks whilst changing. The part was not super hard to find by simply using the tools Webike provide on their hel pages and to be 100% sure, I also cross referenced with Kawasaki schematics. The price for the washer was really good value and added to the other parts in my order, the shipping worked out really cost efficient too. Shipped by EMS all arrived in 5 days. EMS are good value, very fast in delivering and better than some other couriers. All the items in my order were packed individually by Webike warehouse and all nicely padded out in the box so nothing could get damaged in transit. This washer came in the Kawasaki packaging and are really good quality. They are very well made and no tarnishing was found. The are only washers but as they are essentially crush washers, they are definitely needed. Fitted pretty easily and finished off this rebuild. No danger of a leaky sump plug now.
