HONDA GL1500 GOLDWING

This was another seal that was needed for the CBR1000RR 2014 that came in for a refresh/rebuild. This seal was one the one that seals the water temperature sensor into the thermostat. It was well and truly perished and needed changing out. Finding the right one was pretty easy using the Honda schematics for the CBR1000RR 2014 model. Webike had this on sale at the time of ordering but the price was super cheap anyway. Added to the long list of parts needed for this bike I had them all shipped together. I use EMS as they just get my orders delivered in super fast time. In 5 days the entire order arrived. The packets inside were well packed and protected, including this small washer. Webike put all the really small parts inside a plastic bag to keep them safe and then inside a bubble wrap packet too. The washer is a really neat part and I think stainless steel. It is essentially a crush washer. The specifications were spot on which you would expect anyway from an OEM Honda part. Needed some new seal as the previous one was a little bad. The part was easy to find using the schematics from links Webike provide to Honda. The price the seals were very reasonable and slightly cheaper than my local Honda dealer could give me. Unfortunately, some of the other parts I needed they did not have stock so ordered directly from Webike. The shipping was really good as I had a few other items in the same order. I used EMS this time as the Fedex Express was more cost for some reason. Anyway, all the items in my order were delivered within a week and all items were perfectly packaged. Any spare space in the box was filled with extra padding. This came in the standard Honda packet as seen. The seal looks really good from the packet. Not too stiff but not too flexible like some aftermarket seals. Fitted pretty quickly but a can get a bit fiddly. About quality and texture, I can confirm that the quality is great and that the material used is aluminum.About the feeling of use, Just one oil bolt washer was needed for the new engine that I am building from newly purchased part from Honda. It has done it's job in sealing between the cylinder and the engine oil temperature sensor.Products to buy together, To be able to complete a new engine build many newly purchased parts are required to be added to your cart but the most important to go with the oil bolt washer is the sensor guard as they all work together on the installation.Difficulty of installation, I can say the fitment of the oil bolt washer for my installation was very easy due to the ease of access and the process is explained in the service manual which is to be tightened to the required torque value.Cost performance and comparison with other products, The pricing of this product is great. Ok so it's just an oil filter. An oil filter that gets changed through out the bikes life. So, why bother buying really cheap aftermarket ones or the really expensive one when you know the genuine will work perfectly and give a great life span. The filter was easy to find, it also fits quite a few different models so is readily available. The price was really good, and still better than could source locally for the same Honda part. As I always have more than one part in each order, the cost of shipping is really good. I generally use EMS as it gets to me very quickly and the tracking is full, I mean FULL as in every step of the journey. I know exactly when the order will be delivered and apart from once, the delivery has always been on time. Every part in the order was well packaged as expected and the outer box was sealed on all sides so none of my smaller parts could escape.There is not really much to say about the finish of this oil filter as there is not really much you can see, The paint on the outer is really good and no runs or blemishes on it at all. The filter threaded on really easily and obviously, with any oil filter change, a small amount of oil on the end just to help seal.Fitted in no time at all and filled the oil in the engine.
